OpenPleb

Most people who hold Bitcoin can't easily spend it on everyday things. And most people who want to buy/acquire Bitcoin have to sign up for an exchange and go through KYC first. OpenPleb is a peer-to-peer platform that matches Bitcoin spenders with people willing to pay their bills in exchange for sats. No identity verification, no middleman. When I joined, OpenPleb was a concept. The protocol was still being built. There was no existing product, no reference, no established mental model to lean on. I had to understand a system still in motion and turn it into something people could use. The hardest problem was the home screen. It needed to surface active offers, expiration timers, mint balances, rates, fees, and offer creation, all things that matter for real-time decisions. This project matters to me because it treats Bitcoin the way it was always meant to be used: as everyday money. Not as something you buy and hold forever, but as something you live on.
